FIP Georgia: cost of treatment

The total cost of treatment will depend on whether there's ocular or neurological involvement (which require a higher dosage), the size of your kitty and how much weight they gain during treatment, whether we need to increase their dosage at any point during treatment due to insufficient response, whether you do injections or pills, and whether your kitty is ready to finish treatment at twelve weeks or needs to extend. We’ll provide a cost estimate in your treatment chat once we learn enough about your cat’s situation to determine the appropriate dosage.

Until we've done that estimate, here is a very rough idea of what you can expect:

If you treat, you won't need to pay the full cost up front—you can purchase from the producers as much GS at a time, or as little, as you like, getting more only as you need it. The larger an order you place, the less frequently you have to do it, and the less you spend over time on shipping costs; of course, buying more at a time also means spending more money at a time. Most people get a few weeks' worth in each order.

If the cost of treatment is an issue, we may be able to find financial assistance or donated meds for you. We'll do whatever we can to ensure that no cat needing treatment is unable to get it due to cost.
